The Blues won 4-3 in a Philadelphia thriller.

Mykhailo Mudryk netted his 1st goal for the London club, Christopher Nkunku continues to impress, and Chelsea beat 4-3 10-man Brighton at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Seagulls scored the 1st goal in the 13th minute by Danny Welbeck before Nkunku evened the game.

There were no more goals until Jan Paul van Hecke was sent off in the 60th minute, and then the Blues scored 3 goals for 11 minutes as the goal scorers were Mudryk, Conor Gallagher, and Nicolas Jackson.

João Pedro netted a penalty in the 79th minute, and Deniz Undav, who also entered from the bench like Pedro, made it 4-3. Still, Chelsea kept the victory and won for a 2nd straight time with the new manager Mauricio Pochettino at the helm in front of more than 65,000 fans in Philly.

The Blues will face Newcastle next in Atlanta in another Premier League Summer Series matchup.
