Chelsea are interested in signing Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forrest, a deal, which could rise up to £50m.
Johnson has been a long term target for the Blues and it seems likely the 22-year-old finds himself at Stamford Bridge any time soon.
However, if that were to happen Chelsea must meet the £50m price tag, set by Nottingham for the Welsh international.
Another concern for the 22-year-old is the playing time he will be receiving at Stamford Bridge, considering Chelsea’s loaded squad.
Johnson played in all of Forrest games last campaign as they narrowly avoided relegation. He was the team’s second-highest goal-scorer.
He currently has three years on his contract, which ties him with the club until 2026.
