The Blues may save their season as they equal Newcastle on points

Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea faced a daunting challenge when Callum Hudson-Odoi put Nottingham Forest ahead 2-1 against his former team at the City Ground. However, a swift turnaround, sparked by goals from Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson, secured a crucial three points for The Blues, winning 3-2.

In a thrilling match, Chelsea kept their hopes for European football alive with a late comeback victory over Forest. Nicolas Jackson’s header in the 82nd minute, assisted by substitute Reece James, sealed the win just moments after Raheem Sterling’s equalizer.

The visitors initially took the lead in the eighth minute, courtesy of Mykhailo Mudryk’s well-placed shot following an excellent pass from Cole Palmer. However, Willy Boly’s header from a free-kick leveled the score just eight minutes later.

In a tense second half, Callum Hudson-Odoi’s goal appeared to tip the scales in Forest’s favor. Yet, Chelsea’s late surge, with two quick goals, changed the complexion of the game.

Earlier results in the day all but secured Forest’s Premier League status for next season, with defeats for Burnley and Luton. Forest’s superior goal difference, ahead of Luton by 13, means a significant swing is needed on the final day to jeopardize their top-flight status.
