Chelsea reject Man United’s £40m for Mount

Manchester United’s first offer of £40m for Mason Mount has been rejected by Chelsea.

The midfielder price tag is currently £70m, but since he has only a year left in his contract the Red Devils do not feel it is worth giving all that money.

United are ready to make another offer, but they are wary of their transfer budget limitations.

The 24-year-old has had a difficult season with Chelsea, filled with injuries, which contributed to him making only 20 appearances. He was instrumental part of the team that won the 2021 Champions League.
