The Blues triggered his 25.5M dollar release clause.

The London side are very close to inking Tyler Adams after meeting the 25.5 million dollar release clause in his contract with Leeds.

The midfielder is expected to have medical tests within a day before signing an official deal and becoming a Chelsea player.

The American inked with Leeds from RB Leipzig for a fee of around 26 million dollars 12 months ago but suffered regulation in his debut campaign in Premier League.

Chelsea’s aim is to ink 2 midfielders this month and also proposed 61 million dollars for Romeo Lavia but the Saints declined the bid as they valued the midfielder at 64 million dollars.

Chelsea are also bidding for Brighton’s midfielder Moises Caicedo, but their latest 102 million-dollar offer was rejected.

The Seagulls want 128 million dollars for Caicedo and are unwilling to sell him for any less. Moises wants to continue his career with the Blues and missed Brighton’s final pre-season friendly match vs. Rayo Vallecano during the weekend.
