The Blues are now winless in eight straight games

Chelsea continue to be on a steep downhill in their performance this season after a 0-2 loss to Brentford in their Tuesday night Premier league clash, which made their winless streak go up to eight matches.

Chelsea couldn’t make any serious chances in front of Brentford’s goal, but in the 37 minute the ball entered Kepa’s net.

A cross in the penalty box was deflected enough to surprise Chelsea’s goalkeeper and he scored an unfortunate own goal, trying to keep it out.

After the break Aubameyang had a chance to level the score, but his bullet header missed the target after a cross. Ten minutes before the end Brentford hit for a second time. Bryan Mbeumo was at the right place to fire the ball past Kepa making it 2-0.

With this loss Chelsea stays 11th with 39 points and European competition spots are practically unreachable.
