At the beginning of the week, Chicago’s manager Matt Eberflus shared that Justin is doubtful and added that the quarterback did not practice in the past days. Rookie Tyson Bagent will replace him vs. Las Vegas, becoming just the 4th Division II quarterback to start a match in the league in the last 20 seasons.
The NFL franchise from Chicago announced that they were waiting until today to make a determination on the next steps with Fields. Bears boss Eberflus claimed a few days ago that they are optimistic that Field will be on the field on Sunday, but now the situation changed, and he is not healthy enough.
However, the organization will not place him on the injured reserve list and he can play after the match against the Raiders.
