Trent will pair with Orlando Brown Jr. to give the team bookend tackles to protect the organization’s QB, Joe Burrow.
The franchise had a vacancy on their O-line after OT Jonah Williams joined the Arizona Cardinals a few days ago.
Brown will begin his 10th National Football League campaign and has appeared in 100 career regular-campaign matches, with 93 of them from the 1st minute on the field. Trent started 51 matches at right tackle and 42 at left tackle.
He had been competing at an elite level at left tackle for the Patriots in the past campaign before sustaining an ankle problem in the October 22nd victory against the Bills, and then he tried to play through the injury in the next week’s defeat against the Dolphins.
Brown started only 1 more match until the end of the campaign, as he shared with the media that he was unhappy with the situation in New England.
