The LA team receives bad news as the Al-Star player is sidelined

The Los Angeles Clippers announced on Wednesday, that their Al-Star player Paul George has a sprained knee and his condition will be reevaluated in two to three weeks.

George got the injury during his team 101-100 loss to Oklhohama City Thunder on Tuesday night. He made contact with Thunder’s Luguentz Dort, who was going for a rebound with 4:38 remaining.

George limped off the playing floor to the locker room with the help of medical staff as he was unable to put any weight on his sprained right leg.

Asked how the Clippers would go about  George’s injury, Kawhi Leonard said: “Next man up. We’ve got a group of guys that still want to win and like to play basketball, so we’ll see what happens.”

Losing George is a major blow to the Clippers, as he is averaging 23.8 points per game in addition to 6.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists. The LA team find themseves in a difficult spot as they miss Norman Powell with shoulder injury as he is due to return not any earlier than next week.
