Cole Palmer has officially become a Chelsea player after agreeing an initial £40m deal with the Blues.

The fee will rise up to £42.5m with £2.5m in add-ons. It is a 7-year deal with an option for extension, which ties the player with the club until 2030.
“I’m excited to get started and it feels great to sign,” Palmer said.
“I’ve joined Chelsea because the project here sounds good and because of the platform I will have to try to showcase my talents.
“It is a young and hungry squad and, hopefully, we can do something special.”
Palmer is a product of City’s academy and has shone this year at the European Under-21 Championship, which was won by England. He also scored goals both in the Community Shield against Arsenal and in the Uefa Super Cup against Sevilla.
