Washington Commanders boss Dan Quinn admitted today that he should have removed QB Jayden Daniels before he sustained a dislocated left elbow, a distinct change from what the manager shared moments after the defeat vs. the Seahawks yesterday.
“It’s my fault,” Quinn told the media. “I take responsibility for playing him for too long.”
Dan added that the organization is still waiting for further testing on the quarterback’s elbow to determine how long Daniels will be out, but claimed that the QB1 of the team will be sidelined for a while.
An X-ray after the match with Seattle revealed a fracture.
Jayden suffered a problem with his non-throwing elbow in the middle of the 4th quarter in the 38-14 defeat to the Seahawks. Daniels was sacked on a scramble at Seattle’s 4-yard line with Washington being behind 38-7 during that time.
Commanders also suffered 2 more injuries in this game as CB Marshon Lattimore tore his ACL, and receiver/kick returner Luke McCaffrey sustained a collarbone injury. Both players will be sidelined until the end of the campaign.
Dan also shared that Terry McLaurin will most likely be out against the Lions at the end of the weekend.
#Commanders HC Dan Quinn opened his press conference by saying he messed up by keeping QB Jayden Daniels in the game last night down by 31.
