The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) has announced 14 cities in the United States that will host the Copa America tournament in 2024. The final match will be held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami (Florida), and the semifinals are planned for East Rutherford (New Jersey) and Charlotte (North Carolina), CONMEBOL also announced, adding details about the 48th edition of the cup.
The tournament will be held from June 20 to July 14, 2024 with the participation of 16 teams – all 10 countries from South America, as well as 6 from the CONCACAF Zone. The draw for the allocation of the teams in the four groups of four will be held on Thursday night. The last edition of the Copa America tournament was held in 2021 when Argentina beat hosts Brazil to win their first title from a major tournament in 28 years.
Bank of America Stadium will be used in Charlotte, and MetLife in New Jersey is the facility for the other semifinal. CONMEBOL plans to host the opening match at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. CONCACAF also announced that the quarterfinals will be played in Arlington, Houston, Las Vegas and Glendale. The remaining host cities are Austin, Texas, Orlando, Santa Clara, California, Inglewood, California, Kansas City, Missouri, and Kansas City, Kansas.
