The 35-year-old showed real class in near perfect display

Terence Crawford was crowned welterweight champion after defeating Errol Spence Jr. in Las Vegas and became the first four-belt era’s undisputed champion.

Crawford was the dominant force from the get-go as he knocked down his opponent on three occasions, before the referee put an end to Spence’s misery in the 9th round.

With the win Crawford stripped Spence of his WBC, WBA(Super) and IBF titles, becoming the first man to achieve undisputed titles in two weight classes.

“I’m an overachiever, nobody believed in me when I was coming up,” he said.

“It means everything because of who I took the belts from,”

“They talk bad about me and I kept praying to God I would get the opportunity to show the world how great I am.

“And tonight, I believe I showed how great I am.”

Spence was on a roll before the match and had been undefeated in 28 games as he headed to his 8th world title bout in a row. But he certainly met his master in Crawford, who extended his winning streak to 40 consecutive fights.
