Cristiano earned more than half a million dollars in salary between 2002 and 2023, and features other deals like this with Nike that pay him almost 20 million dollars per year.
When the Portuguese superstar joined Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia 3 years ago, Cristiano became the best-paid footballer in history as his salary was over 200 million dollars.
His deal was to end in the past summer, but he inked a new 2-year extension worth over 400 million dollars, which means that he will play in the Saudi Pro League beyond his 42nd birthday.
His biggest competitor on the football pitch, Lionel Messi, has been paid over 600 million dollars before taxes in salary. The Argentinian superstar is earning 20 million dollars per year with Inter Miami, which is only 10% of what Cristiano Ronaldo receives as payment in Saudi Arabia during the same period.
