Cristiano Ronaldo stepped into the limelight once again, proving that when it comes to finals, he is always at a high level. The 38-year-old Portuguese brought the Arab Champions Cup trophy to his Al Nassr side, scoring both goals in a 2-1 success against Al Hilal in the final.
The match was very tense, with Al Nassr receiving three red cards. After a scoreless first half, Al Hilal took the lead with Michael’s goal after Malcom’s assist in the 51st minute.
Twenty minutes later, Al Nassr were down to 10 men after Abdulaleh Al Amri’s red card. In the 74th minute, however, Ronaldo equalized after a pass from Al Ghanam.
Shortly after, nerves broke out and Nawaf Al-Bushail, who was on the bench for Al Nassr, received a straight red card.
By the end of regular time, no more goals were scored and so the match went into extra time where Ronaldo showed his worth again, scoring 2:1 in the 98th minute, and 5 minutes later, Al Nassr coach Luis Castro was sent off.
