Pittsburgh Penguins manager didn’t tell Sidney Crosby to shoot more because the head coach knew he didn’t have to do it.
Coach Sullivan: “I liked our intent. I thought our intentions were in the right place. When we play the game that way, it’s collective effort. It’s a team game and everyone understands what their role is and we play it.” pic.twitter.com/1QhWTjkWMG

“To be frank, we just try to stay out of Crosby’s way,” the boss shared. “Sidney thinks it better than we do.”
And he still dominates, even at 36 years old in the middle of his 19th campaign.
Crosby netted 2 goals to move within 1 of Hall of Famer Mark Recchi for 21st on the all-time goals list as Pittsburgh snapped Kraken’s organization-record-9-match winning streak with a 3-0 victory at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA.
Tristan Jarry made 22 saves for his 5th shutout of the campaign as the Penguins handed the Kraken its 1st defeat of any kind since December 18th and its 1st defeat in regular time since December 10th.
