The Golden State Warriors secured their fourth consecutive win by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 123-116 on Thursday night, in what could be a preview of a first-round playoff clash. Stephen Curry once again led the way, scoring 37 points, while Brandin Podziemski had a career night with 28 points, including a career-high eight 3-pointers.

Curry, coming off a remarkable 52-point game against Memphis just two days prior, shot 4 of 11 from beyond the arc. Podziemski’s sharp shooting proved crucial, helping the Warriors withstand a late Lakers surge.
LeBron James was the standout for the Lakers, recording 33 points and nine assists. Austin Reaves followed with 31 points, knocking down nine 3-pointers, while Rui Hachimura added 24 points. Luke Doncic struggled from deep, finishing with 19 points while missing all six of his 3-point attempts.
In a game that saw both teams trading scoring runs, the Lakers managed to cut the deficit to 105-99 in the final minutes. However, back-to-back 3-pointers from Curry and Podziemski restored the Warriors’ control. James and Reaves responded with triples of their own, but it wasn’t enough as Golden State maintained a seven-point lead.

The Lakers mounted a comeback in the third quarter after trailing by 16 in the second. James scored 12 of his team’s 14 points early on, but Curry countered with 13 straight points, capping the quarter with three clutch free throws to give the Warriors an 88-77 advantage heading into the final period.
Jonathan Kuminga played a key role off the bench, contributing 18 points and nine rebounds for the Warriors. This victory marked Golden State’s first win against the Lakers in four meetings this season and their first victory in Los Angeles in over a year.
