Cowboys cut him amid camp struggles.

The Dallas Cowboys decided to cut Tristan Vizcaino, manager Mike McCarthy shared today.

Brandon Aubrey remains the only kicker on the roster after Tristan’s release, but the franchise could add another in the next few days or can decide to wait for the other organizations to cut their kickers and pick one.

Veteran kickers like Robbie Gould and Mason Crosby are without a team, but Dallas doesn’t want to ink an experienced kicker now.

Vizcaino scored 22 of 35 attempts during club drills and was just 4-of-8 in his last training with Cowboys during the weekend, including 4 misses in a row, although he can’t be blamed for 1 of them because of a poor snap.

The only remaining kicker in the organization Aubrey scored 26 of 35 attempts but was only 1-of-3 in end-of-match opportunities.

The NFL franchise from Texas wanted 2 kickers in the draft – Jake Moody and Chad Ryland, but both were picked earlier than the Cowboys wanted to use a selection on a kicker.
