The Dallas Mavericks are bringing back veteran guard Spencer Dinwiddie on a one-year contract, The Athletic reported Monday.
Dinwiddie, 31, previously played for the Mavericks during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, averaging 17.7 points per game. Last season, he split his time between the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers, posting an average of 10.5 points in 76 games, including 52 starts.
Throughout his career, Dinwiddie has averaged 13.3 points and 5.2 assists in 542 games (315 starts) with the Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, Mavericks, and Lakers. His best season came in 2019-20 with Brooklyn, where he averaged a career-high 20.6 points per game.

Dinwiddie was selected in the second round of the 2014 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons.
