Medvedev was sharp throughout, winning 12 more points than De Minaur and hitting 27 winners to 25 unforced errors. The Russian saved all six break points he faced while converting two of six on return.
He grabbed the early advantage by breaking at love in the fifth game of the first set and held firm under pressure, saving multiple break points to maintain his lead. Serving for the set at 5-4, Medvedev fended off another break point before sealing the opener on his third set point with a crisp serve-and-volley.
The second set remained tight, with De Minaur saving two break points in the opening game and both players holding serve deep into the set. Medvedev denied another break chance at 3-4 with a powerful serve, then broke through in the ninth game with a backhand winner down the line.
Serving for the match at 5-4, the world No. 4 wrapped things up in style, firing an ace on his first match point to book his place in the last four.
Medvedev, chasing his first title since the 2023 Rome Masters, will next face Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech in the semifinals.
