The cornerback is heading to a premature exit
After three seasons the Philadelphia Eagles have decided to realease cornerback Darius Slay.
It is believed that the Eagles are trying to realease Slay after 1 June, which would push $13m of his cap into 2024. Other sources suggest that he might count $8m and change against the 2023 cap.
Slay release comes couple of days after he was given permission to seek a trade.
Slay, who was bought by the Eagles back in 2020, has seven Interceptions, 29 passes deffensed, two fumble recoveries and 166 tackles to his name throughout his three-season spell with the club.
