Alex De Minaur defeated Andy Murray 2-1 sets after more than 3 hours in a matchup from the 1/32 finals at the Masters 1000 in Paris and advanced to the 2nd round of the tournament.
The Australian won the 1st set after a tiebreak – 7-5 points after both players spent 1 hour and 6 minutes in the opening set on the court.

However, Murray regrouped in the 2nd set and, with 2 breaks from 3 opportunities, closed it 6-4 as De Minaur broke the Britain serve only once.
Everything seemed to be in favor of Andy in the deciding set as he was leading 5-2 games, but after that, his Australian opponent won 5 straight games in a row – including breaking Murray’s serve 3 times and triumphing in the 3rd set 7-5 after another epic set that lasted longer than an hour. After the very dramatic defeat, Murray broke rackets on the court as he was very angry.
