Texas Rangers’ Jacob deGromm has been sidelined with an elbow injury for 60 days, which would see him play as far as late June.

The 34-year-old picked up the injury in a game on April 28 and was initially placed on the IL with 15 days, but it seems that the injury is more serious than first anticipated.
He has undergone an MRI, which showed an inflammation to his right elbow and he is expected to go through yet another session.
This means deGromm’s transfer can be activated on June 28 the earliest.
“We don’t see anything before that as a possibility,” head-coach Chris Young said. “We want to make sure that we proceed cautiously.”
The Rangers signed deGrom as a free agent after he had played his first nine big league seasons with the Mets. He has been hampered by injuries and has featured in only 156 1/3 innings over 26 starts his last two years in New York.
