Niklas Andersen had a goal and two assists to lead the way for the Scandinavian team.
Nikolas Ehler also scored, extending his run of goal-scoring games to 3. Nicklas Jensen put his name on the scoresheet, while captain Jesper Jensen Aabo, Mattias Lassen and Patrick Russell also scored to round off the final 6-2.
For Austria, who were on the back foot throughout the whole game, Thomas Raffl and Peter Schneider scored the only 2 goals.
The Austrians have only 1 point from three games and will be hoping for a help from elsewhere to stay in the top division for a fifth consecutive World Championship.
