“We waited a long time,” Michael Porter Jr. shared after Denver practice in the morning. “We feel like we haven’t played a match in forever, so we do everything possible to be ready, train in the gym, and just on hold to know who we will face.”
Denver swept Los Angeles Lakers in the Eastern Conference finals a week ago, and the players now try to stay in shape for the upcoming championship games.
But yet, they didn’t know if they would play against the Celtics or the Heat, so head coach Michael Malone prepared his team for both opponents.
“The best thing about today is that we will know who we play, which gives us two days and a Thursday morning to prepare for whoever is the winner before the 1st match from the finals.
