France head coach Didier Deschamps has said the Gunners player William Saliba must fix some kinks in his game before he can become a starter for his country.
William (23) has started in 6 of his 12 matches for his nation but didn’t play during their 2-0 loss in Lyon against Germany in a friendly in the past weekend. However, it is expected that the Arsenal defender will be on the pitch today vs. Chile.
Didier Deschamps on William Saliba's lack of playing time for France 👀
🗣️ "He is having a good season, but he also does things that I don't like so much. For France, he has limited game time, but when he plays, that hasn't necessarily gone well." 🇫🇷

Dayot Upamecano, Ibrahima Konaté, and Benjamin Pavard are more trusted by the manager to play for the French national team.
“Saliba is having a great campaign in the Premier League,” Deschamps shared with the media today. “But I see him doing things which I like a bit less. That’s why, at this time, William gets less playing time.”
The French defender has started all 28 of the Gunners’ EPL matches so far this campaign, with Arsenal having the best defense in the league.
