The New Jersey Devils trashed New York Rangers 4-0 to take a 3-2 lead in the first round of the playoffs on Thursday night.

“We just weren’t good enough,” Rangers coach Gerard Gallant said. “Jersey played their best game of the series. You’ve got to give them credit.”
