Nole won against his longtime opponent.

Novak Djokovic, world number 2, eliminates world number 88, Stan Wawrinka, after triumphing in straight sets in a matchup from the 3rd round at the Grand Slam on grass in London.

The Serbian won the 1st set 6-3 after converting 1 break point from 4 chances. Djokovic won even easily the 2nd set 6-1 as he dominated and broke Wawrinka’s serve 3 times.

We finally saw a battle in the 3rd set, as we didn’t see any break point chances, and the set reached a tiebreak. Stan had a chance to win it as he led 5-4 and served twice, but Novak won both points and then converted the match ball on his serve.

Nole and Stan had played 30 times, and the Serbian is leading with 24 victories and 6 defeats. However, Wawrinka beat him twice in the Grand Slam finals – at the 2016 US Open and the 2015 Roland-Garros.

The Serbian will face Hubert Hurkacz in the 4th round at Wimbledon.
