Novak Djokovic didn’t let Taylor Fritz to even think about beating him at the US Open 1/4-finals, breezing past him 6-1 6-4 6-4 on Tuesday.
Once again the heat was a key factor as at some point they were reaching 100 Fahrenheit (38 Celsius), but that didn’t stand in Djokovic’s way to improve even further his record against Fritz that now shows 8-0.

Djokovic quickly showed Fritz that he would not allow any surprises in the eighth match between them. The 36-year-old Serbian lost only one game in the opening set, and in the second part he saved 4 break points at 2:1 in his favor and did not lose the initiative.
The third set was tied at 3:3 when Djokovic broke. A re-break ensued, and Nole got angry with one of his staff and ordered him out of the stands. Fritz did not take advantage of the 23-time Grand Slam winner’s slump. The American allowed himself to be broken again, and then Djokovic closed out the match.
