The Serbian tennis star sparked concerns over his fitness after a nasty fall at the end of his game against Flavio Cobolli

On the eve of the Wimbledon men’s semifinals, Novak Djokovic has sparked serious concern across the tennis world after unexpectedly canceling his scheduled practice session at the All England Club.

Serbian journalist Saša Ozmo reported the development, noting that Djokovic also withdrew from all planned media and training activities.

This sudden change in schedule comes in the wake of his troubling slip during the final stages of his previous match, where he was stunned by Flavio Cobolli.

Djokovic later explained to Ozmo what happened, saying:

“It all happened very quickly… I slipped and I noticed it; the muscle was bothering me in the fourth set. However, I managed to overcome the next two points, which is fantastic. It’s not the first or last time I’ve slipped, but it’s the first time this year, which is surprising because I’m a player who likes to skate on grass. In the afternoon there is more humidity in the air, it becomes more slippery and the chances of something happening increase.”

Djokovic added that the next 24 to 48 hours would be crucial in assessing the severity of the issue. While there’s currently no official statement from his camp about his condition or potential withdrawal, his absence from practice and media duties is fueling speculation about his fitness to face Jannik Sinner in Friday’s semifinal.

Meanwhile, Sinner continues his preparation and has been seen training with a brace on his right elbow, suggesting he too may be managing a minor issue — though nothing that currently threatens his participation.
