Miami manager Mike McDaniel confirmed today that the cornerback has inked an extension with the franchise.
With the new 3-campaign, 72.3 million dollar contract, Jalen is guaranteed to earn over 55 million dollars starting this campaign, which ensures he will have the highest career earnings for a CB in NFL history.
Miami and Jalen had been talking about an extension in the past few weeks. The 2 sides were able to create a new benchmark once Pat Surtain II reset the CB market by inking an extension with the Broncos 2 days ago that carries 24 million dollars per year.
Dolphins traded a 3rd-round selection and TE Hunter Long to the LA Rams for Jalen in the past offseason, and he made his impact as a leader in Miami right away.
