Kyrie Irving didn’t agree with Luka Doncic taking the blame for the Dallas Mavericks losing the 1st 2 matches of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden.
The Slovenian finished with 32 points, 11 assists, and 11 boards in Game 2, but Doncic claimed 2 ugly numbers in his scoreline as the major factors in Dallas’ 105-98 defeat vs. the Boston Celtics.
“I believe my turnovers and my missed free throws are the reason we lost the match,” Luka shared after joining LeBron James, Charles Barkley, and Jerry West as the only basketballers in the league history to record a 30-point triple-double in a Finals defeat. “So, I must improve in those 2 categories.”
Doncic added that in the end, the most crucial thing for Mavs to triumph is that they must convert their shots.
Irving shared that Luka is not alone in being blamed for the defeat and that the team will tell him.
