Nuri Şahin has been announced as the new Borussia Dortmund manager, the German team shared today.

Nuri has inked a 3-year deal at Signal Iduna Park and replaces Edin Terzić, who revealed that he is leaving yesterday.
Nuri had played 274 matches for Dortmund as a footballer across 2 spells and was part of the club that triumphed in the Bundesliga in 2011. The Turkish head coach, who made his debut for Borussia as a 16-year-old, also played for Los Blancos, Liverpool, and Werder before retiring at Turkish team Antalyaspor in 2021.
“It is a dream come true for me to be manager of Borussia Dortmund. I would like to express my gratitude to the management team for the trust they have shown in me, and I’m hugely looking forward to leading the team in the right direction,” Şahin shared after being appointed.
Şahin return to the Bundesliga side as an assistant coach at the beginning of 2024 after 1 and a half year as head coach of Antalyaspor.
