Borussia Dortmund was Bundesliga leader going into the last matchday of the season, but shocked their fans with 0-2 loss to Mainz at home and the title slipped away in favor of Bayern Munich.
Signal Iduna Park was buzzing with enthusiasm awaiting their first title in 11 years, but just 15 minutes into the game Andreas Hanche-Olsen scored for Mainz after a corner kick. Just four minutes later VAR checked a situation in the away side box and awarded a penalty. Sebastian Haller had the chance to bring his team back into the game, but Dahmen saved his shot.

It got from bad to worse for the home side when Karim Onisiwo stroke a perfect low header inside the left post after a brilliant cross to make it 2-0. In the 69 minute Guerreiro pulled one back for Borussia and brought them back into the game. In the dying minutes they got a second goal, scored by Sule, but the draw equaled them on points with Bayern – 71 each, which meant Bayern are first due to better goal difference and head to head results.

In the same time in Koln Bayern Munich needed a win to have a chance to defend their title and got the opener in the 8 minutes when Kingsley Coman scored into the right corner with a perfect shot from the edge of the box.
So is das Tor passiert: #Coman zieht von der rechten Seite ins Zentrum und zirkelt den Ball sehenswert in den Winkel.

Just before the break Leroy Sane scored a second goal for the away side, but VAR ruled it off for handball into the build-up.
The drama was full when with 9 minutes to go Koln equalized through Ljubicic and that meant Borrusia will keep their lead although they were losing, but in the 89th minute Musiala scored for Bayern, making in 2-1 and sending the title toward Munich.
