Yesterday’s Qatar Grand Prix turned out to be one of the most extreme, if not the most extreme race in Formula 1 history.
The Lusail race took place in rather difficult conditions, high air temperature and high humidity, although its start was after sunset. Also, because of the tire problems and the mandatory three pits, the drivers were able to push to the maximum of their abilities from the start to the finish, which is extremely rare in modern Formula 1, especially on a high-speed track like the one in Qatar.

As a result of these extreme conditions and loads that the pilots were subjected to, many of them were close to or even passed out in the medical center after the finish of the race.
More dangerously, Lance Stroll revealed to the media that he had moments of blacking out in fast corners and even briefly passed out on the start-finish straight, as seen on his car’s onboard camera.

“It was terrible. I was literally losing consciousness in the fast corners,” the Canadian Aston Martin driver told the media.
Esteban Ocon said that these exertions made him so sick that he even threw up in his helmet during the race.
