Kevin Durant and LeBron James met each other on court again for the first time in almost five years as Suns beat Lakers 123-100 on Thursday night. Durant was crucial for Phoenix with his 21 points.
James scored 19 points and Anthony Davis had 15 for Los Angeles in the preseason finale for both teams, heading into the new NBA season.
The last time James and Durant were on the court was Christmas 2018, when the Lakers beat the Golden State Warriors 127-101. This wasn’t the only matchup in the game, as Japanese national team players Rui Hachimura for the Lakers and Yuta Watanabe for Phoenix also faced each other.
