Houston Rockets leader Kevin Durant has agreed a 2-year, 90 million dollar deal extension, with a player option for 2027-28.
Kevin was eligible for a maximum deal extension of 120 million dollars over 2 years, but knew when he decided to go to Houston that this would cost him some money on a new contract, but that gives more opportunity to the Rockets to build around him with the remaining funds and to try to be a competitor.
Durant, who now holds the record for the highest earnings in league history with almost 600 million dollars, surpassed LeBron James. Kevin will be paid almost 55 million dollars in the current campaign and now has a total of 3 seasons and almost 145 million dollars on his deal.

Houston acquired the superstar during the summer as part of the largest trade in National Basketball Association history, a 7-franchise exchange. Kevin is a 15-time All-Star as he averaged almost 27 points, 6 boards, and over 4 assists in 62 matches in the past campaign while being part of the Phoenix Suns, but his with them didn’t resulted in any success.
