He sprained his ankle on Wednesday night in the warm-up before the Thunder clash
Phoenix Suns could lose their new star Kevin Durant for the rest of the season.
13-time All-Star player suffered a unfortunate injury in the warm-up before the home game against Oklahoma City Thunder in what would have been his new team’s home debut.
Durant slipped while attempting to make an easy basket and sprained his ankle, which could keep him out for two to four weeks, according to the Arizona Republic.
With exactly one month remaining in the regular season, Phoenix sits in fourth place in the Western Conference with 37-29.
It’s highly likely that the Suns’ coaching staff will leave him on the sidelines for the playoffs, as Durant has been nursing another injury until recently.
