Edmonton’s captain looked to be not okay and was grabbing his left side as he left the ice with almost 5 minutes remaining in the final period, and he did not play anymore in the match.
His teammates were defeated 3-2 after an OT and fell to 1-3-1 on the campaign.
After the match, manager Jay Woodcroft shared that the injury is most likely “muscular.”
“I’m still to visit the locker room, but I’m sure we’ll have more details about his problem in the upcoming days,” the Oilers boss shared with the media. “It didn’t appear to be anything major, most likely to be muscular more than anything to me as I watched what happened. He can miss a few matches, but we will see for how long he will be sidelined.”
