Medvedev will wait his opponent from the Max Purcell-Christopher O’Connel game, scheduled for later today.
After the game the 27-year-old was asked about the ongoing rivalry between two of the biggest names in tennis Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz.
“It’s normal they’re the biggest names right now,” he said.
“I don’t care. My goal is to try to play well to get to wherever they are and try to win.”
