Joel Embiid was the star of the show with unbelievable 51 points, toppled with 12 rebounds to lead Philadelphia to victory, their seventh in the last 8 games.
It was his 12th straight game with 30 points or more, which is NBA’s longest run since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did it in 16 straight games for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1971-72 season.
Tyrese Maxey was the other one with stellar performance as he notched 35 points.
Anthony Edwards led the way for Minnesota with 27 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns notched 23 and Jaden McDaniels had. The Timberwolves entered Wednesday night as winners of nine of its last 10 games and possessors of the league’s best record, but all that came to an abrupt end.
