Joel Embiid netted 30 points and added 11 rebounds and 11 assists to push the Philadelphia 76ers rout LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers 138-94 on Monday night.
The NBA MVP, Embiid got his sixth career triple-double with 2 minutes to spare in the third quarter. This was the first time of the season when Embiid notched a triple-double.
A lot of people were expecting head-to-head show between Joel and James, but it never happened as the Lakers’ star was far from his best self and scored 18 points in 29 minutes. Despite all that, LeBron broke another record as he is now played more minutes than any player in NBA history, with playoff time included.
Tyrese Maxey was the most prolific for 76ers with 31 points, while Anthony Davis had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Lakers.
