Emery wins EPL Manager of the Month for December

Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery has taken home the Premier League’s Manager of the Month for the past month.

Across his side’s 7 matches, Unai saw 4 wins, including huge victories against Man City and Arsenal, which secured his team in the battle for the top 4 at the end of the season.

After 20 matches, the Villains are in the 2^nd place in the EPL, trailing only 3 points from Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp was also nominated for the title, along with the Cherries’ Andoni Iraola and the Hammers’ David Moyes.

“I’m happy and very proud of what we did on the pitch,” Aston Villa boss shared. “The crucial thing is to be consistent, be demanding, and try to be better each day.”

This is the 2^nd Manager of the Month award in his career, with Emery also being named Manager of the Month in April 2023.

Aston Villa finished 2023 as 1 of the most in-form clubs in the league.
