England beat Australia 3-1 to reach Women’s World Cup final

England won 3-1 against Australia in a matchup from the semifinals at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and will have the chance to play for the trophy.

The 1^st half ended with a 1-0 lead for England as Ella Ann Toone scored the only goal in the 36^th minute after Alessia Russo’s assist.

Australia came back in the 2^nd half when Samantha Kerr scored in the 63^rd minute to tie the match but only 8 minutes later, England got the lead again. Alessia Russo Lauren Hemp scored 2-1 in the 71^st minute.

In the game’s final minutes, the host nation tried everything to tie the match, but that left them exposed in the defense. Alessia Russo decided everything with her goal from a counterattack in the 86^th minute after Lauren Hemp’s assist.
