Beth England, Rachel Daly, and Alex Greenwood also scored successfully for the European champs, who were left with 10 players on the pitch in regulation time.
Lauren James – the top scorer with 3 goals in the group stage – received a red card near the end of the regulation time in the 87th minute after an awful stamp on the back of Michelle Alonzi after both players went down in a tangled heap.
England will play against Jamaica or Colombia in the ¼ finals of the World Cup in Sydney, Australia, on Saturday.
