England is officially qualified for Euro 2024 after a 3-1 win over Italy in their much anticipated clash at Wembley. The Three Lions took a revenge over the Italians for the lost final of Euro 2020 two years ago at the same stage.
After a quarter of an hour of play, Italy opened the scoring. A very beautiful counterattack from the left side allowed El Shaarawy to switch the attack to the right, where Di Lorenzo crossed into the penalty area and Gianluca Scamacca was in the right place and from a few meters he managed to beat Pickford.
In the 28th minute, England got a penalty after a foul on Jude Bellingham. The situation was reviewed with the VAR, but Clément Turpin did not change his mind. Harry Kane stood behind the ball and scored his sixth goal in six games in the group.
