The Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag shared he has “never started his best XI” as his injury-hit team prepares to play against Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena in the Champions League.
The Man. United boss is without 12 first-team footballers as his club must compete without them against the Bundesliga winner on Wednesday.
That features players like Raphael Varane, Mason Mount, and Harry Maguire, who have not traveled to Bavaria.
“There was always a problem, but you must be ready for whatever happens,” the manager shared.
“In my opinion, I never played the best starting XI. That is the game. You have to deal with it. I respect these situations. You have to overcome the difficulties and focus on the long term.”
Varane and Mount appeared in the open section of practice in the Premier League’s team training center during the morning today as they are close to returning from the injuries and being able to help the Red Devils.
