He was also awarder Best young player in the league
Manchester City forward Erling Haaland was named the Premier League’s Player of the Season on Saturday.
The 22-year-old was also voted the league’s best young player, becoming the first person to win both awards in the same season. Haaland has scored 36 goals in 35 games so far this season, breaking the previous record of 34 in a single Premier League campaign shared by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer.
“I am honoured to have become the first player to win both awards in the same season,” Haaland said. “It has been an incredible first season in the Premier League and lifting the trophy last weekend in front of our fans at the Etihad was a very special moment for me.”
