Suppose there was anything positive for the USA team after today’s opening session of the 44th Ryder Cup at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club. In that case, it’s that the fans of the sport in the United States probably were in their beds through its pathetic beatdown by the European squad.

The Europeans swept 4 foursomes to go 4-0 in the morning session for the 1st time in the tournament’s history. Europe humiliated the USA, as they are doing everything possible to reclaim the title after losing 19-9 in Wisconsin in 2021. The American players failed to hold a lead in any of the opening games.
It is only the 4th time the European roster has gone undefeated in a session at the Ryder Cup. It’s the 1st time since 2006 that Europe has had the lead after the 1st session.
