Jonny Evans shared the Man. United’s 1-0 victory against Burnley away from home was the “best night of my life” after the defender marked his 1st start for the Red Devils since 2015 with a phenomenal performance for the side from Old Trafford.
The 35-year-old player, who left Manchester United 8 years ago, inked a 1-year deal with the team during the summer transfer window after leaving relegated Leicester after his contract with the Foxes expired at the end of the past campaign.
He gave a 40-yard pass to assist Bruno Fernandes’ winning goal at Turf Moor.
“I loved being on the pitch,” Evans claimed. “Before the match, you get a feeling I couldn’t wait; it was joy. Coming up here on the bus, I was cheerful.
“That was my 200th match for the Red Devils; I never imagined I would ever play that many games for Manchester United — the best night of my life.
